No arguments for involvement in the mass uprising in July and August: Home Affairs

DHAKA, October 14, 2024 (BSS) – The Ministry of Home Affairs today said in a statement that there will be no cases, arrests and intimidation against those who actively participated in the mass uprising from July 15 to August 8 last.

“A new journey towards building a discrimination-free new Bangladesh has begun with the fall of the autocratic fascist government through the mass uprising of students on August 5 last,” said the statement signed by senior information officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs Faisal Hasan.


The students, who actively worked to stay on the ground to make the mass uprising a success, would not face any case, arrest or intimidation due to the incidents related to the mass uprising that took place from July 15 to August 8 last. statement said.


The Ministry of the Interior has asked the authorities concerned to remain alert at the highest level.

The ministry has also asked the authorities concerned to remain alert against those who gain benefits by spreading untrue information.
