Anirudh Ravichander confirms that he will be doing SRK’s next film

Music director Anirudh Ravichander in a recent interaction confirmed that he will be composing music for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, which will reportedly be titled King. The Vettaiyan composer opened up about his reunion with SRK for the first time. The two worked for director Atlee’s Jawan, which marked his Bollywood debut. Jawan became one of the biggest hits of 2023, with the music receiving an overwhelming response.

In a conversation with Amazon Music, Anirudh talked about his upcoming projects. While SRK’s upcoming film is yet to be officially announced, the composer spoke about it for the first time.

He said, “Now we have a Telugu film releasing on the 27th and Vettaiyan on the 10th. I think Pongal will be Ajith’s film which is Vidaa Muyarchi. We have this Coolie and then Shah Rukh sir’s film in the Hindi. As of now, it’s giving me a headache just mentioning all of this. There are more, but I don’t want to mention them because it will drive me crazy for the rest of the evening. There are about 50 songs to give 10 months, good luck.”

Shah Rukh Khan will join hands with director Sujoy Ghosh for King. The film will reportedly feature Suhana Khan and she will be sharing the screen with her father for the first time. An official announcement about the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Anirudh also confirmed the release of Vidaa Muyarchi for Pongal. However, the makers of Good Bad Ugly (which also stars Ajith Kumar) reconfirmed that the film will release on Pongal. It remains to be seen whether Ajith’s two films will release during Pongal 2025.

Anirudh Ravichander’s latest release was Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. He was appreciated for the songs and background score in both films.
