A Callaway County man was arrested Monday after allegedly stabbing his neighbor in the face.

Rex Brent Griffin was charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action.

According to the probable cause statement, Griffin and the neighbor argued and Griffin pushed him down and stabbed him in the face while moving.

The neighbor said he saw Griffin take a knife out of his pocket and open the blade.

The knife was a pocket knife with a blade approximately 3 to 4 inches long.

According to court documents, Griffin later told investigators he pulled out a knife and was holding it when he pushed the neighbor.

He also said that the neighbor was looking for a knife that he had in his belt and that’s why he pushed him.

Griffin’s bail was set at $20,000.
