Since the tragic death of singer liam payne After coming to light, there has been speculation about his death, and some people believe that the artist committed suicide. However, prosecutors in Argentina ruled out suicide after a thorough investigation into Payne’s death, Vanity Fair reported.

Officials have stated that the artist was most likely unconscious when he fell from his third-story balcony in Buenos Aires. Since his death, three people have been arrested.

Payne died on October 16. He was only 31 years old.

Payne became a household name after being selected to be part of the four-member boy band, One Direction. The band took a break in 2016 to continue their solo careers. However, Payne’s music career suffered a downturn after it was alleged that he regularly took drugs and had harassed his ex-fiancée.

In July 2023, Payne shared that he is committed to getting sober and said that he had “some amazing people around me who take care of me,” apparently referring to his recovery.

Payne’s toxicology test published by ABC News indicated that the artist’s death showed signs of cocaine, benzodiazepines and crack cocaine, as well as ‘pink cocaine’ (a type of drug cocktail that includes methamphetamine and ketamine). However, pink cocaine was not mentioned in the autopsy report released last week by prosecutor Andrés Madrea. The official stated that the death was the result of “multiple traumas.”

“Three complementary medical-legal reports confirmed that all the injuries corresponded to a high fall, ruling out self-harm or involvement of third parties. In light of this, experts in forensic psychiatry were consulted to determine whether Payne could have been in a diminished or unconscious state at the time of the fall, which the prosecutor believes negates the possibility of voluntary action on his part,” reads the full statement.

Payne’s funeral date has reportedly already been set and will be announced next week.
