Evansville man charged in attempted murder case to be sentenced

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville man charged with attempted murder will be sentenced Monday.

As we reported, Jahray Garrett pleaded guilty last month to unlawful carrying of a handgun and criminal recklessness.

It comes after authorities say Garrett shot a gun at a car and people nearby early on New Year’s Day.

Police say the shooting happened next Jerry Hale had been murdered and Garrett had his pockets searched.
