Russian drone attack in Odessa kills one person, wounds 13, prosecutors say

Russian troops launched a “massive” drone attack on Odessa and its suburbs, killing one person and wounding 13, the Odessa Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported on November 9.

Among those injured in the drone attack in the early hours of Nov. 9 were two children, ages four and 16, according to the report.

The report comes as the Ukrainian Air Force saying that Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 51 drones, and that the south of the Odessa region was the “epicenter.” According to the Air Force, Shahed drones and drones of “unspecified type” were used in the attack.

The Odessa attack damaged multi-story buildings, private homes, warehouses and cars, regional prosecutors reported.

“The inspection continues and the complete list of destruction and damage is being established,” reported the Odessa provincial prosecutor’s office. saying in his Telegram post.

Russia has stepped up its drone strikes across Ukraine, including the capital kyiv, where civilians come under drone strikes almost daily.
