Mobile man receives 77-month federal prison sentence for fentanyl trafficking and assault on a federal officer

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – A federal judge recently sentenced a Mobile man to nearly six and a half years in prison for trafficking fentanyl and assault on a federal law enforcement officer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama announced Friday.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele on October 29 imposed a 77-month sentence on a 27-year-old man. Christopher Teague on the two charges.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.

Court documents revealed that from July to December 2023, Teague conspired with others to distribute fentanyl throughout the Mobile area. While attempting to flee from authorities, Teague crashed his vehicle head-on into an FBI vehicle containing two special agents and a task force officer.

Following his prison sentence, Teague will serve five years of supervised release.

teague had been the subject of a FOX10 Fugitive Files Episode in November 2023 in connection with a shooting.
