WINONA LAKE – The Winona Lake City Council held a one-minute meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7 to approve an ordinance establishing a cash exchange fund.

Council Vice President Austin Reynolds explained the fund was for the Miller Sunset Pavilion ice rink so rink employees could drive around and receive cash.

Part of the ordinance states that the Miller Sunset Pavilion operation may have a cash exchange fund in the amount of $500. The municipal administrator is responsible for the management, supervision and accounting of the cash exchange fund.

Without questions, Councilman Barry Andrew made a motion to approve the ordinance and Councilman Jason Zaugg seconded. The motion passed 4-0. Council President Jim Lancaster was unable to attend the meeting.
