MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. The final document of the 10th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit, which will be held in Brazil from November 4 to 8, does not mention Ukraine, said Konstantin Kosachev, first vice-president of the Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament).

“In our opinion, the final document of the current G-20 parliamentary meeting is close to what we would like it to be, if not perfect. In this sense, I can say that it does not mention Ukraine or the Crisis in Ukraine,” he said Kosachev in an interview with the Vmeste-RF television channel.

According to the senior Russian senator, this means that legislators “are able to pay attention and dedicate their efforts to much more serious and important issues on the current international agenda.”

Speaking about the outcome of the meeting, Kosachev highlighted that the parliamentary G20 was one of the most promising platforms for discussing international issues and that the Russian delegation at the summit had demonstrated “the culture of parliamentary diplomacy and political dialogue.”

“I think we did the best we could and achieved everything we had planned. The final document has been effective. We deepened the discussion of issues such as the fight against poverty, our response to climate change and the digital agenda. The G20 Parliamentary has begun to present more specific recommendations on all these issues,” Kosachev concluded.
