Juventus confirms Pogba’s departure from the club

Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has confirmed that 31-year-old French midfielder Paul Pogba will leave the team as a free agent.

Giuntoli is quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano as saying:

Fabrizio Romano also reported that Pogba will leave the club as a free agent. The midfielder’s contract runs until the summer of 2026.

Pogba tested positive for a banned substance on August 20, 2023, with non-endogenous testosterone metabolites found in his sample. In February 2024, he was given a four-year ban, which was later reduced to 18 months. He can continue training with Juventus in January and can play official matches in March.
