Theodore man convicted of reckless homicide in crash that killed Air Force veteran

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – A Theodore man has been found guilty of reckless homicide in the 2021 death of a U.S. Air Force veteran, the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

According to court documents, Eric Timko was driving recklessly on Schillinger Road early on the morning of October 28, 2021. His GMC pickup truck swerved across multiple lanes and collided with a vehicle driven by Justin Bolton, killing Bolton.

Bolton, a veteran Air Force sergeant, was on his way to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

Court testimony revealed that prior to the fatal crash, multiple calls had been made to 911 reporting reckless driving by a vehicle.

Sentencing for Timko, 33, is scheduled for December 11.
