The exciting second semi-final of the Kerala Super League saw Forca Kochi FC record a 2-0 win over Kannur Warriors FC, securing their place in the final against Calicut FC on November 10 at the EMS Corporation Stadium.

The stadium was packed with fans from both sides, as fans of Forca Cruz and Kannur gathered behind their teams in an electric atmosphere.

Forca Kochi FC asserted control from the first minute, maintaining a dominant presence on the field. Kannur Warriors FC, recognizing what was at stake, adjusted their strategy and opted for a defensive setup to counter Kochi’s attacking style.

Kannur focused on taking advantage of counter-attacking opportunities to find a way to the goal, while Kochi attempted to break their opponent’s defensive line through a well-organized build-up play, targeting star striker Dorielton.

Despite Kochi’s best efforts, they were unable to find the net as Kannur goalkeeper Ajmal showed his skills with a series of impressive saves that kept his team level. Kochi’s dominance was evident in the possession statistics, but Kannur’s strategy limited their scoring chances. At the other end, Kannur’s limited chances were comfortably exploited by Kochi goalkeeper Hajmal, ensuring a goalless first half.

As the second half began, Kannur changed course, moving from a defensive approach to a more offensive stance. Lavsamba took control of the midfield, teaming up with forward Asier Gomes to launch aggressive plays. Kochi, however, was still hungry for a breakthrough.

In the 72nd minute came the moment that would define the match. Dorielton received a cross inside the area from the left, deftly catching it on his chest before executing a stunning bicycle kick that left fans and players alike in awe. This remarkable goal put Forca Kochi in front and is already celebrated as one of the best goals in the league.

Just seven minutes later, Dorielton scored again, doubling Kochi’s lead with a composed finish that sent the Forca Cruz fans into a frenzy of joy, their victory chants filling the stands. Despite Kannur’s determined efforts to find an equaliser, Kochi’s organized defense and newfound confidence held firm, denying Kannur any chance of a comeback.

With this 2-0 win, Forca Kochi FC have booked their place in the Kerala Super League final where they will take on local rivals Calicut FC in an epic showdown at the EMS Corporation Stadium on November 10.
