Rising artist Mystic Warrior has made a name for herself with the song Be good.

The singer, originally from Clarendon but now based in Kingston, held a release party for the recognizable song in August and has been reaping the benefits ever since.

“The song was well received at the launch party for the single release in August and has been well received on social media and shows where I have performed. I recently played Be Fine at Bunny Wailer’s launch party and one of the guests mentioned that this song is for her and that she would be there. The response has been overwhelming in a good way and motivates me to continue making more positive and uplifting music,” he said Observer online.

The singer has been in the industry for nine years and has released before Brain, Dem a Rush And True love.

Add in the fact that he was inspired to make music by his uncle, who was a DJ, and Mystic Warrior believes he is the total package of a successful singer.

“I don’t just go by the first thing that comes to mind when I listen to a riddim. I always dig deeper and I believe my individuality, versatility and approach to creativity sets me apart from others. When I listen to a riddim, the words come organically, specific to the riddim, and this is how I create. I write all my songs in my head, which I started doing several years ago because I realized that when I wrote a song, I tended to erase and rewrite it. This shift has taken me to the next level when it comes to songwriting, which works for me. I create and sing based on what I feel and based on what is happening around me, the world, politics and life in general that people can relate to,” he added.

Mystic Warrior hopes to collaborate with Beres Hammond and Chronixx. He is working on new singles and an EP that will be released in the near future.
