Erin Napier Reveals Whether Her HGTV Fans Prefer Trump or Harris

HGTV star Erin Napier has a unique demographic reach like his beloved Hometown The series takes place in Laurel, Mississippi. Napier surveyed his fans ahead of the 2024 presidential election to determine whether they would vote for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris. It received an avalanche of responses and the result may be surprising to some people.

On Friday, November 1, Napier posted on his Instagram Stories asking his 1.5 million followers which presidential candidate they would vote for. He included three American flag emojis above his poll, allowing users to choose “Trump/Vance” or “Harris/Walz.” Underneath, Napier wrote: “An informal survey because I’m very curious.”

The next morning, Napier shared the results. As it turned out, 52% of people voted for Trump and 48% for Harris. Erin concluded: “71,000 votes total, mostly women for those curious.” So, surprisingly, it was an almost equal split.

Napier also shared his personal thoughts on the election after sharing the survey. He posted another Instagram story with his views on politics. The mother of two with Ben Napier He did not share who he was voting for, since when he did in the past it created some delicate situations.

When he simply posted an American flag emoji in 2022, he had to applaud fans who took this as a political stance. She wrote at the time in X: “If you think loving America must be a political affiliation, that says a lot about you and nothing about us. I’m so tired of people LOOKING for things that separate us all. just stop”

Before the 2020 presidential election, he also posted on X: “Hating people who they vote for is like hating people for their immutable past life experiences. You have to accept it and learn to love people even with their differences. People with different beliefs can love each other. Can we try harder?

Napier, however, is no stranger to politics. Before his HGTV fame, Ben ran for city council as an independent in his hometown of Laurel. “If I had won it, we wouldn’t have been able to shoot Hometown”he told CBS News in 2021 (seen above).

“I would have dedicated myself to that, to being, you know, a representative. But through (the program), we have been able to achieve so much more. Not just in Laurel, but throughout the United States. “We hear from people all the time who are inspired by what happened in Laurel and have done it in their city.”

However, while he couldn’t return Laurel to her past glory in terms of legislation, he has done so alongside Erin on screen for the past nine years with Hometown.
