HOWARD – Rockview State Police have charged a Howard man with corruption of minors and harassment following an incident that allegedly occurred at the Center County Grange Fair in August.

According to criminal docket information, Hunter Kenneth L. Henney, 21, of Howard, admitted to contacting a 15-year-old boy and sending lewd photos of himself to the teen, Trooper Dalton Granville said. Henney claimed to have met the teenager at the Grange Fair in Center Hall and allegedly admitted to kissing the victim twice in August.

Police were notified of Henney’s inappropriate behavior by the teen’s mother on August 25.

According to court documents, the mother claimed she was holding her son’s phone when Henney sent the message and nude photo of himself to the phone.

She opened the message and saw a photo of Henney’s genitals, according to Trooper Granville’s statement. The mother then discovered that her son had spent time with Henney at the fair.

Upon further investigation, the teen admitted he met Henney through a friend, Granville said. They exchanged numbers and Snapchat information that day.

The victim told police they would “do stuff” but it would never progress beyond kissing, reports say.

The teen allegedly blocked Henney after he sent lewd photos of himself.

According to Trooper Granville, police spoke with Henney at his home on August 26. He claimed that the accuser told him he was 16 years old. Henney admitted to kissing the victim twice but never saw him again, Granville’s report said.

Henney is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing before Center County Judge Gregory Koehle in late October.
