KENMORE, NY (WKBW) – After nine days of early voting in New York state, the polls closed for the final time before Election Day.

According to Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, 132,479 Erie County voters have cast their ballots in early voting, or 20.9% of all registered voters.

“This is probably the most crucial election, especially for my generation. (Instead of) waiting until Tuesday, you might as well get there early and get it over with.” Nick Blato he said of Buffalo. “I think for the future, especially for Generation Z, we need to think about how our generation will function in the future. “This election could decide whether some pretty critical freedoms are removed or protected.”

“This year is too important not to make the effort (to vote),” Diana Volere saying. “Our rights and identities as Americans, as part of this county, is something that is being questioned right now, we are not willing to not be a voice.”
