The Cleveland Cavaliers do something they haven’t done since 1976

He Cleveland Knights They are officially 7-0 after defeating the milwaukee dollars on Saturday night. Donovan Mitchell played the role of hero, scoring a last-second shot to lead the Cavaliers to victory.

To start the season, Cleveland looks like a legitimate NBA Finals contender in the Eastern Conference.

After a very quiet offseason that drew criticism from many fans and the media, the Cavaliers have silenced the skeptics. They are real and they are playing at an elite level.

With the victory, Cleveland finished doing something they haven’t done since the 1976-77 season. They haven’t started 7-0 since that year and it’s just the second time in franchise history they’ve accomplished the feat.

The Cavaliers have not only been winning games, but they have done so while looking like contenders. Cleveland has beaten some very good teams along the way.

So far this season, they have beaten teams like the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and now the Bucks.

It’s too early to really say that the Cavaliers are favorites for the NBA Finals. We are only seven games into the season. However, there are plenty of reasons for fans to be very excited about this team.

Behind Mitchell’s leadership, Cleveland has filled out the roster well around him. They have excellent supporting players in the starting lineup with Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland. Off the bench, they have a lot more depth than many expected.

Hopefully, the Cavaliers can continue to play with the same type of teamwork they have shown so far. The start they’ve had has been far from a one-man show.

Next up for Cleveland will be Monday night’s matchup against Milwaukee at home. It will be interesting to see if they can double down and defeat the Bucks in back-to-back games.
