Mumbai Police begin process to extradite Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol from US

The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police has started the extradition process to bring back Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, from the United States.

Anmol is wanted in connection with a dismissal case near actor Salman Khan’s residence and is reportedly in the United States.

A special court for Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) cases has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Anmol Bishnoi. NDTV reported citing police sources.

They said they are waiting for certain court documents to complete the formalities, after which a formal proposal will be sent to the central government for further action.

In addition, a red corner notice has also been issued for searching abroad.

The crime branch began the extradition process, supposedly after the United States alerted of its presence there. He was previously believed to be in Canada.

Last month, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), India’s anti-terrorism investigation agency, added Anmol Bishnoi to its most wanted list and declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to his arrest.

Also, the Bishnoi gang is under investigation in connection with the latest murder of Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique, who was known to share close links with Salman Khan.
