STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) – Crews are searching for a man they say may be armed and dangerous.

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office is seeking Jonathan P. Parker40 years old, who is wanted on an arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm.

On Monday, Rock Falls police responded to a report of a person who had been shot in a house in the 900 block of West 5th Street in Rock Falls.

Earlier Friday, crews were searching the water between Sterling and Rock Falls.

TV6 arrived at the scene at approximately 4:30 pm, in Lawrence Park.

The fire chief told TV6 at the scene that crews were searching the water in boats. TV6 was also able to see crews on boats.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was using a drone in the area, TV6 saw.

TV6 on the scene could see the Rock Falls Police and Fire Department, along with the Sterling Police and Fire Department.
