IUIU students call for an independent arbiter of sexual harassment

University students are calling for an independent committee to guide students facing sexual harassment. According to student representatives, most students who face sexual harassment, especially from university management, do not report their cases for fear of reprisals from the perpetrators. The call came as several students gathered at an Islamic University in Uganda, where they say it is leading some of them to mental health problems that are affecting their studies.
