Kevin Costner has fun in New York with athlete Rainy Castaneda after the death of ‘Yellowstone’

Kevin Costner seemed unfazed a day after his “Yellowstone” character died during the show’s Season 5B premiere.

The actor was seen laughing and smiling at a party in New York City on Monday night, when he attended a Meet & Greet hosted by DuJour Media’s Jason Binn.

At one point, the “Bodyguard” actor posed for a photo alongside athlete Rainy Castaneda, 30, who wore a classic long black dress for the event.

Costner, who resolved his divorce from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner in September, he looked especially stylish in a navy turtleneck and a pair of black glasses.

The revelation comes shortly after he opened up about his character’s death on Sunday’s episode, admitting did not rush to look The final episode of his character.

“I didn’t see it,” he said during Monday’s episode of SiriusXM’s “The Michael Smerconish Program.” “I heard it’s a suicide, so that doesn’t make me want to rush to see it.”

Costner went on to hint that the show’s writers may have a bigger plan for the Dutton patriarch’s death.

“Well, they’re pretty smart people,” he continued. “Maybe it’s a red herring. Who knows? They are very good. And they will realize that.”

Although it appeared that John Dutton committed suicide, it was later revealed in the episode that Dutton’s death was the result of a hit orchestrated by his son Jamie Dutton’s girlfriend, Sarah Atwood.

After reports emerged that Costner I wouldn’t return to the series After five seasons, he confirmed that his departure was not entirely his decision, saying: “I didn’t leave. “I didn’t leave the program.”

The reason for his departure was due to agenda and contract issues, as he was also working on the four-part series “Horizon: An American Saga,” he explained.

“There were gaps,” Costner shared. “There were contractual things that would allow us to do both, but since both were contractual, we had to leave room for the other.”
