YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Joe Jubak, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hospice of the Valley with his brother Charlie by his side.

Joe, affectionately known as “Ringo,” was born July 4, 1942 in Youngstown, son of the late John G. and Anne (Zvarich) Jubak. He was a long-time resident of the west side of Youngstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his partner Linda Creighton, his sister Joanne and his brother John Jubak.

Joe is survived by his brother, Charlie Jubak, his nephew, Michael Jubak, his niece, Brenda Murdock, his nephew, Bob Jubak (Mary), his great-niece Marie, three great-nephews, Bobby, Zach and Josh, five great-great-grandparents. nephews, a great niece, a close friend, Connie Brue and her loving family.

Joe graduated in 1960 from Cardinal Mooney.

He worked as a blacksmith with Local 207 for over 30 years in the tri-county area, Italy and Antarctica.

He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, the St. George Croatian Center and the Saxon Club in Youngstown. He was a devout Catholic who attended church weekly and had a strong faith in God.

He was a life member of the NRA and competed in civilian marksmanship events at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio. Joe was an avid NASCAR fan and named his dog “Rusty” after his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. Joe enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns and Indians games, and in his youth could be found sailing, water skiing, and skydiving.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4545 New Road in Austintown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. , in the church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joe’s name can be made to Catholic War Veterans, 609 Steel Street, Youngstown, OH 44509.

The provisions have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home4700 Market St., Boardman.
