As of November 2023, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sued and settled with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, has received at least four other sexual assault lawsuits, resigned as president of Revolt Media, had homes in Los Angeles and Miami . raided by Homeland Security, saw his son accused of sexual assault and charged with three federal charges including extortion and sex trafficking.

While nothing has yet been proven in court, it has been a rapid fall and a dizzying stream of bad news for one of hip-hop’s first billionaires.

Cassie files a lawsuit

In November 2023, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura lawsuit filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs alleging rape, assault, forced sex with male sex workers and that Combs blew up the car of Kid Cudi, who at the time was dating Ventura. The case was resolved out of court.
Multiple accusers come forward

In the days following Cassie’s accusations, Joi Dickerson-Neal alleged in a lawsuit in New York that the rapper drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1991 and then engaged in “revenge porn.”

Music producer files lawsuit for $30 million

In late February 2024, Combs suffered a stroke a lawsuit of 30 million dollars by the producer of his latest release, The album of love: off the grid.

Lil Rod claimed that Combs forced him to have sex with prostitutes, subject himself to constant groping of his genitals, and charged him $50,000 for his work on the 2023 release.
Combs’ homes were raided by the feds

Combs saw his properties in Los Angeles and Miami raided by Homeland Security and local law enforcement in March 2024 as “part of an ongoing investigation.” The tycoon later called it an “unprecedented ambush.”
Combs’ son accused of sexual assault

In April 2024, Christian, the rap mogul’s 26-year-old son, was accused of “drugging and sexual assault” the butler on a luxury yacht the family chartered in late 2022.

The elder Combs is also accused, named for allegedly turning what was supposed to be a “wholesome family vacation” into a place for “illegal drug use, sex work and general mayhem.”
Hotel assault video surfaces

Diddy apologizes, Cassie doesn’t accept

Shortly after the hotel video surfaced, Combs, who had previously denied Ventura’s assault allegations, apologized.

“My behavior in that video is inexcusable. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” wrote on Instagrambefore saying that since then “I started going to therapy, to rehabilitation.”

Ventura, although he was a representative, qualified Combs’ statement an act of “pathetic desperation” maintaining that “no one will be carried away by his false words.”
No prosecution for 2016 hotel beating

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón announced in mid-May that Sean Combs would not be prosecuted for the assault captured on hotel surveillance footage.

“If the conduct described occurred in 2016,” Gascón said, “unfortunately we would not be able to file charges as the conduct would have occurred beyond the time frame in which a crime of assault can be prosecuted.”
Combs arrested in Manhattan

On September 16, Combs was arrested in New York in an action related to the raids on the rapper’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. He was detained in the lobby of the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan by Homeland Security Investigations.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, later called the arrest “disappointing” and linked it to “an unfair prosecution.”
Diddy accused of sex trafficking, extortion and more

On September 17, Combs was formally charged with federal charges related to extortion, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In response, he pleaded “not guilty” but was denied bail.

The trio of charges could put him behind bars for life if convicted.
New sexual assault lawsuit filed
