Thunder Unveils 2024-25 NBA City Edition Uniforms in New Photos; Debut date revealed | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the best teams in the NBA at 9-2 and they gave fans another reason to be excited on Tuesday.

The Thunder unveiled their City Edition uniforms for the 2024-25 season and announced who will wear them for the first time on Sunday when they face the Dallas Mavericks.

According a press releaseThe Thunder’s City Edition uniform design “completes a two-year narrative arc that reflects the evolving landscape, growth and momentum of Oklahoma City.”

“The 24-25 City Edition uniform is an expression of Oklahoma City’s progress and the unique cultural renaissance that arises from the optimism inherent in the people and heritage of Oklahoma,” Brian Byrnes, senior vice president of business operations, said in the release. from Thunder. “It pays tribute to the innovators who have shaped Oklahoma’s culture and are moving it forward.”

The Oklahoma lettering on the front of the jersey is intended as a statement of unity, as it will mark just the second Thunder uniform in team history to feature the state’s name in the center. The belt line also includes an outline of the state of Oklahoma.

In addition to the uniform, the Thunder will have a City Edition court for City Nights games. Each Sunday home game will be called City Nights games going forward following the team’s matchup against Dallas this week.

The Thunder, who started the season 7-0, continued their strong start with a 134-128 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 45 points to lead the victory.

Oklahoma City will return to action on Wednesday in a home matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans (3-8).
