Coronation Street cancels ITVX first episode for reveal of Joel’s killer

An ITV spokesperson confirmed news of the broadcast to RadioTimes.comwhich means if you want to know who killed Joel, you’ll have to tune in when the episode airs at 8 p.m.

So far, there’s a list of suspects in the spotlight, and Friday’s flashback will finally show us who’s responsible.

It’s safe to say that Joel had amassed his fair share of enemies on the cobbles and his actions had impacted many people’s lives. The last we saw of the resident villain was him sitting in his car with blood on his face.

People like Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), DC Kit (Jacob Roberts), Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), Ellie Benton (Lola Blue), Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges), Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) could each be responsible for their own reasons.

But for now, we’ll just have to hold on and see!

Last month it was announced that the latest episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale would be available on ITVX from 7am each morning as part of ITV’s strategy “to give our viewers the best choice in how they watch our shows”.

Announcing the news, Craig Morris, editor-in-chief of ITV Channels and ITVX, said: “The positive response when we made soaps available at 7am during this year’s Euro and Olympic Games shows that audiences want to choose when watch your favorite soaps, and the new dedicated destination on ITVX is a fitting home for the country’s biggest and most ongoing dramas.

“Now you can choose when to enjoy your daily dose of drama, whether during the daily commute, during lunch or at a time that suits you best each night.”
