Updated Porsche Taycan GTS completes refreshed range

The final variants of porscheis updated Taycan The range has been announced, and the German company has revealed all the details about the renewed Porsche Taycan GTS, which is available in both saloon and Sport Turismo versions.

The GTS is usually one of the most driver-focused variants within the Porsche model range, but this is not the case with the new Taycan, where the wild turbogt fulfills that role.

However, at a more reasonable starting price, the GTS will likely remain one of the most popular models in the range, thanks to a collection of unique chassis and design elements.

The GTS features the same larger 105 kWh battery pack and dual-motor design as a 4S with the Performance Plus battery, and generates up to 690 bhp with overboost during launch control. This is a 100hp increase over the previous GTS and sits nicely between the 536hp 4S and the 871hp Turbo.

Performance is very impressive, with 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds and 0-124mph in 10.4. This represents improvements of 0.4 and 1.6 seconds, respectively.

There’s also a useful increase in range, with the GTS capable of up to 390 miles in combined mode. WLTP proof. This is around 75 miles more than before and is achieved thanks to a larger battery and efficiency improvements to the car’s motors and software. The front engine can now also be decoupled in most driving situations.

However, the GTS’s biggest updates are largely chassis-related, as it now comes standard with a unique setup for Porsche’s dual-chamber air suspension with dual-valve shock absorbers.

Customers can also specify the clever hydraulically powered Active Ride Control system, which also has a custom GTS setting. Porsche Torque Vectoring is also standard, with rear-wheel steering as an option.

Visually, the GTS features a gloss black sport design package as standard, with an anthracite gray finish on the 20-inch aerodynamic wheels. Optional 21-inch wheels with the same medium gray finish are also available. Inside, a GTS interior package can be specified, which includes plenty of Race-Tex fabric and black leather trim with red or silver contrast stitching.

UK pricing will start at £117,500 for the saloon, with the Sport Turismo costing an extra £800. The first cars will reach UK customers in early 2025.
