ASH BRAZILL will return for Fremantle’s semi-final against Adelaide, but coach Lisa Webb can’t say the same for Amy Mulholland.

Mulholland will miss the Dockers’ sudden death match against the Crows after suffering a concussion in a marking incident against Essendon.

The forward fell on her neck and back while valiantly trying to score early in the final period of her match. Final 10-point elimination victory over the Bombers.

If the Dockers defeat the Crows and advance further towards the final, Mulholland could also be ruled out of a potential preliminary final against Brisbane.

“It’s obviously unfortunate. (Mulholland) has been a really important player for us this year, but she’s not playing this week,” Webb said Tuesday.

The coach is at least optimistic about Brazill’s chances of overcoming an ankle injury he first suffered in the ninth round.

The star defender, who sported a moon boot, was a Late withdrawal from Dockers clash with Essendon after resting in the last round trip match.

“It’s definitely on the right track,” Webb said.

“(The moon boot is) more to protect her from running after her children.”

Fremantle travel to Norwood Oval for Saturday’s clash as clear underdogs to Matthew Clarke’s three-time premiership team.

The Dockers, both inaugural teams in the AFLW competition, have only won once in seven meetings with Adelaide; They last held their opponents to one goal to win by 30 points in 2021.

They only need to look at the second round of this season to be reminded how formidable the Crows can be.

Star duo Ebony Marinoff and Anne Hatchard put on a masterclass in midfield and at the same time managed to score to lead the Crows to a 33-point victory over a goalless home team.

Adelaide put in a tough performance against North Melbourne in their qualifying final loss, and came close to handing the minor premiers their first defeat of the season.

“They’re pretty elite. I obviously saw them first-hand in the second round and then the weekend (against North Melbourne),” Webb said.

“That consistency across all three lines is something that will be really crucial for us.

“The last time we faced them, our midfielders were beaten… but to be honest, their ability to win on all fields is a concern.

“But, you know, we’re a much better team than we were in the second round.”
