‘I believe in our team’ Mark Stoops anticipates Murray State coming out of bye week

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – The Cats return to action against Murray State (1-9) on Saturday, November 16 at 1:30 pm after a much-needed bye week.

UK entered its second bye week of the season on a four-game skid and down 10 starters due to injuries.

Kentucky has three games remaining in the regular season against the State Racers at home, Texas on the road and the Governor’s Cup against Louisville at Kroger Field. The Cats will need to win these next three games to avoid missing a bowl game for the first time since 2015.

So far, British soccer coach Mark Stoops seems confident in his team and their chances for the rest of the season.

“You know, we still have a quarter of the season left,” Stoops said. “So, you know, it’s up to us how we decide to finish and I trust our team, I believe in our team and we’ll be excited to get back on the field today and start our preparation for Murray.”

The game between UK and Murray State will be broadcast on ESPN+ and SECN+.
