Here are comments from readers about what they’ve seen so far:

Austin Kraft: “All in all. New coordinator. Love struck. Running game looks great. Kicking issues potentially resolved? Very happy to be 6-3. Congratulations to Malik!”

RJ Donovan: “Too many mental mistakes, even for such a young team. Hafley has the secondary playing aggressively. Really good management work in free agency and trades. Please play more like Starr and much less like Favre. Overall, he has improved a lot since the last station.”

Gilbert Goetz: “The Packers have the youngest roster in the NFL. The Packers have enough cash and cash equivalents on their balance sheet to finance operations without revenue for more than a year. Since Bob Harlan, the Packers have compiled a record of 324-197- 4, surpassed only by the Patriots and Steelers. There is no problem with the Packers. Any problem is with the expectations of the fans.

Peter Simonson: “This season should dispel any doubts about Gutekunst’s ability as a general manager. McKinney and Jacobs were masterful moves and this draft class could go down as one of the most successful in recent memory. No general manager has a perfect track record of making moves. “Just as no football fan can accurately predict the results of every game, you only have to look at Carolina and the two New York franchises to see what an alternate reality would be like for the Packers in a non-Gutekunst universe.”

Julian Rogers: “A clear improvement over last year. Uneven and disappointing performance from Love, but not bad enough to lose faith. The Packers team can still go far in the playoffs. They just won’t be seeded very high. I really enjoy of young talent in development”.

DP Niederkorn: “This team is a work in progress. Love’s injuries and interceptions have slowed offensive progress. Jacobs has been a positive addition to the running game that will be crucial in cold weather games. But they have to kill the monster of the penalties to really improve. Defense shows promise. It takes time for that to gel. New faces on the defensive side of the ball are cause for optimism. Injuries have slowed the development of the secondary. will tell us a lot about Hafley. Special teams hasn’t been particularly special so far and needs to improve. Kudos to Gutey for his drafting and acquisition of players; no GM hits 1.000, but he is one of the best talent evaluators in the game.

Jeff Delvaux: “Other than Detroit, we are 10 total points away from being undefeated and the defense has given up very few total points in the second half combined. I have to assume Hafley makes big adjustments at halftime.”

Juan Falenski: “LaFleur is too nice. No one takes responsibility. Undisciplined penalties are a sign of weakness. Someone needs to take the reins from Jordan Love. The only person in the organization doing a great job is GM Gutekunst. Everyone else needs baffling how these stupid mistakes keep happening week after week after week.
