Actor Luke Grimes reflects on his “satisfying” time on YELLOWSTONE ahead of the release of its final episodes.

“I’m just saying don’t look away, buckle up. It’s very fast, it’s only six episodes and a lot happens. Start high and finish high.” saying Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the series.

The show’s final episodes began airing on the Paramount Network on November 10.

“I think you know that whenever you spend a lot of time with a show, you want the ending to wrap everything up in a way that satisfies you and makes you feel like you didn’t waste your time. “I feel like that’s what this ending does,” the actor shared.

YELLOWSTONE filmed in Montana, where Grimes lived with his wife for the past four years.

“My wife is from Brazil. I’m from Ohio. There would be no place we lived that felt like home to both of us at the same time, so we had to find it and we found it in Montana,” he said.

Recently, he is enjoying his time as a new father of a six-week-old baby.

It’s “sleepless, but impressive,” he said. “He has changed our lives greatly.”

Grimes remembers YELLOWSTONE as a “satisfying” and “epic” time.

“To begin with, it was just a great group. “It’s a great project,” Grimes said. “It ended up becoming a huge cultural thing that we were all a part of, and we filmed it for seven years in a beautiful location. “Just all the elements were there.”

“I’m going to miss a lot of these people… We all worked very hard on this and we’re very proud of it,” he said. said The Hollywood Reporter.

Grimes believes Kevin Costner’s departure from the show sealed its end.

“The fact that he didn’t come back was like, ‘Okay, we’re really going to have to land this plane now,'” Grimes. said PEOPLE. “I think the departure of the patriarch will always be part of history. It was always that way, what are these kids doing? What does this family do when their rock runs out?

“Whatever the circumstances, I definitely felt like, ‘Okay, we’re going to land,’” he said. “It definitely felt different.

As Grimes comes to an end on the show, she makes room for her other love: singing. He just released his first country album.

“I think it’s the same reason I like movies and television: the stories. I think songs are kind of mini stories, and especially country music, the lyrics really mean something and have always gotten me through my own life.”
