Patch reports how residents of Monroe, Fairfield County, heard these rather terrifying howls for about five to 10 minutes on October 17, 2023.

The New York Post adds that this incident was investigated by BFRO founder and investigator Matthew Moneymaker, who found the witness account credible. “He heard a loud howl that is different from other animals, but consistent with a Bigfoot.

“I contacted the witness to make sure the person was real and if there were any more sounds at the scene,” he told the Post.

“It happened in an area with a history of sightings going back decades. The area has the main ingredient in other viewing locations: an abundance of deer in the area.”
