MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A 49-year-old man was killed in a crash Sunday on State Road 70 after being hit by 3 vehicles.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the first vehicle was traveling in the express lane of State Road 70 west of 15th Street East. Another vehicle was traveling in the westbound lanes of the same road. The pedestrian crossed State Highway 70 and was hit by the first car, which threw him into the path of the second vehicle. Then, a third vehicle hit the man.

Manatee County EMS declared the man deceased at the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide unit continues to investigate this traffic accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
