Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has decided to conduct PCS 2024 prelims and RO/ARO 2023 prelims will be held in two days and two shifts. Even before the date of the preliminary examination was revealed, candidates were already speaking out against it. On November 11, the candidates will again present their protests against this decision. Competitive applicants will begin an indefinite dharna at UP Public Service Commission Gate No. 2. According to competitive candidates, this dharna will continue until the panel revokes its decision.

According to Pratima Singh, a Prayagraj resident who is studying for the competitive exams, the PCS and RO/ARO prelims should be conducted on the same day and during the same shift. He states that until there is a guarantee of testing on the same day and on the same shift, anxiety will persist.

On December 7 and 8, two shifts will be held for the UP PCS 2024 preliminary exam. On December 22 and 23, there will be two shifts for the preliminary test for the Recruitment of Review Officers and Assistant Review Officers (RO/ARO). of 2024.

Furthermore, the competitive students request that the commission revoke the normalization ruling. They claim that the normalization process can result in losses. It will also encourage corruption. Competitive students claim that the announcement did not include any reference to standardization. The commission violates the terms of the advertisement by doing this. They say they would also go to court if the commission does not overturn the decision.

In a recent case, the Supreme Court decided that regulations cannot be changed midway through the hiring process. Candidates planning to take the UP PCS exam claim that it is against the Supreme Court ruling to apply normalization to the PCS and RO/ARO preliminary recruitment exam.
