In Sunday’s Week 10 game between the 49ers and Buccaneers, one of the league’s most reliable kickers, Jake Moody, missed three field goals. And while it’s always frustrating when an offense doesn’t score points, no player should react the way Deebo Samuel did on the bench.

He sought to fight against his own teammate.

After Moody missed his 44-yard attempt that kept the Niners up by three points, Fox’s broadcast focused on an incident on the 49ers’ sideline. Samuel approached long snapper Taybor Pepper and grabbed his teammate by the neck. Pepper followed Samuel and yelled at the wide receiver. But the whole scene was strange and honestly embarrassing.

On the one hand, the snap on that third missed field goal wasn’t bad. It was easy to handle: Moody narrowly missed.

And even if the cross was wrong, you can’t chase a teammate like that. It was a bad look for Samuel, that’s for sure.
