Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric defended his teammate Kylian Mbappé and urged the club’s fans not to doubt the attacker.

Modric was speaking after Mbappé failed to score a goal in Real Madrid’s 4-0 LaLiga win against Osasuna on Saturday.

Mbappé has not managed to score a goal for Real Madrid in his last four games with Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

As a result, the French international has faced criticism from fans for his performance with Los Blancos.

After Real Madrid defeated Osasuna, Modric insisted that Mbappé will help the club in the future.

“Do not doubt Mbappé. “I’m sure he will help us a lot in the future,” Modric said in his post-match interview.

“He will show everyone why he has been and continues to be one of the best players in the world.”
