Chelsea vs Arsenal predictions: Chris Sutton on the Premier League match

Chris Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League matches this season, against a variety of guests.

For week 11, she will take on Mylee and Tate from CBBC’s football drama Jamie Johnson FC (JJFC).

Sutton’s prediction: 2-1 if Cole Palmer is in the Chelsea squad; 1-1 if not (Final prediction will be made when lineups are announced before kickoff)

I don’t do this very often, but my prediction here depends on whether a player is fit or not.

Arsenal have doubts about Declan Rice, which worries them, and Martin Odegaard will be rusty after returning from his break with a brief appearance against Inter Milan in midweek, but it is Palmer who holds the key.

You’re asking me to make a prediction and I don’t know what weapon I have: a bazooka or a water gun.

Palmer has missed training this week after picking up an injury against Manchester United last weekend and Chelsea need him if they are to win this.

Even if Palmer is absent, I don’t think Arsenal will win. What worries me about them is what they do in the opposition box. They played well against Inter, but they fell short in front of goal and are certainly not clicking in the final third.

Mylee Prediction: 3-2

This will be a close game with many goals… and Chelsea will win!

Tate Prediction: 0-2

Chelsea have been much better this season, so it could be a close game. We were missing Odegaard, who makes a big difference, but we crossed our fingers to achieve it. London is red!
