Residents to give their opinion on flood strategy

A council is inviting members of the town to share their views on its flood measures.

North East Lincolnshire Council has undertaken a review of its flood risk management strategy.

It sets out how the council will work with others to manage flood risk and includes an action plan including short, medium and long-term objectives.

As part of the review process, the public, wider stakeholders and neighboring authorities were asked to share their views via a survey on the council’s website.

The consultation period will last six weeks and will end on December 13.

The strategy would then be updated when necessary.

The final strategy will be presented to the council’s cabinet for review before being formally implemented in early 2025.

A summary of the draft local flood risk management strategy can be found at council website.
