NEW DELHI: As co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) side Riders of the Knights of Calcutta (kkr), superstar of Indian cinema Shah Rukh Khan He often visits stadiums to watch his team play matches in the cash-rich tournament.

But in a viral video, Cummins is saying in a podcast that he didn’t know who Shah Rukh Khan was when he first met him.
Cummins says: “This is going to get me in trouble, but the first time I met Shah Rukh Khan, I had no idea who he was. I think I was 18 or 19 and I had never seen a Bollywood film. I met him and he I said this guy is great, he has a real aura around him, he had some great security guards and it was more seeing the other young Indian players so shy around him and I thought this guy must be nice Special, always very funny, very nice, in terms of leader and owner of the team, you couldn’t have asked for a better one. He just asked us players to have fun, to play with a lot of freedom. The owners have a lot of pressure on themselves, for him to just try to take all the pressure off is great.

Pat Cummins has opted out of the IPL 2023 season to focus on domestic commitments and manage workload, demonstrating his commitment to maintaining peak fitness for international cricket.
In the 2024 IPL auction, Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SSR) for Rs 20.5 crore, making him the second most expensive player in IPL history after his teammate. Mitchell Starc which was bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore.
Cummins-led SRH finished the 2024 tournament as runners-up after losing the final against KKR.
