Varun Dhawan shares his views on being a protective father and says he will kill anyone who causes harm to my daughter.

Actor Varun Dhawan says he is a protective father and would do anything to ensure his daughter is taken care of. In a recent interview, the actor spoke at length about fatherhood and how having a daughter in life changes everything for a man.

Varun was speaking in an interaction with The Hollywood India Reporter where he mentioned that he would not forgive anyone who tried cause harm to your daughter. The 37-year-old spoke of becoming a fierce warrior when it comes to protecting his baby.

Varun said, “I think when any individual, any man, becomes a father, it is a different experience for a mother. I feel like she becomes a tigress, at that moment something happens. But, as a man, I would say: that when we become parents, for some reason, you feel protective towards your daughter, I’m sure you also feel that way towards the children, but towards the daughter… If someone causes her even that much (small) harm, I would kill her. I’m very serious when I say that. would kill.”

The actor added that fatherhood has also helped him understand his father better. Varun shared that he now understands why his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, would behave protectively towards him and his siblings. She said: “I started to understand my father, David Dhawan, a little better: his insecurities, his hyperbehaviour, his anxiety about ‘getting home on time’.”

Varun told that his father called his mother to check his whereabouts and that would bother him. The actor said that today he is in a better position to understand how his father wanted to anchor the family and ensure that everyone acted as one tribe. “He’s calling my mom. He just wanted everyone to be together as a tribe, as a pack. I would never understand, I’d be like, ‘What’s your problem?’ “I’m not a child, why does he want to have me near him?” he explained.

Varun and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed a baby girl in June this year. The couple is extremely cautious about their private life, and only during their appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 did they talk about naming their daughter Lara.

The actor was recently seen at the Raj & DK Series Citadel: Honey Bunnywith Samantha. The show is currently streaming on Prime Video.
