Syracuse police investigate after stabbing on Seward Street

A man is recovering Saturday after being stabbed in the stomach on Syracuse’s Seward Street.

According to Syracuse Police, they arrived at 5:15 pm to the intersection of South Alvord Street and Butternut Street and found a man in his fifties with a stab wound, who was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital.

Police later determined the stabbing took place on Seward Street.

The man is expected to survive and anyone with information is asked to contact Syracuse Police.
