Fourth Arrest Made in Connection to Applebee’s Parking Lot Shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Another man was just arrested in connection with a murder in New Braunfels.

New Braunfels Police say 20-year-old Marcus Gonzales of San Antonio is now in the Comal County Jail charged with murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Chance Herron of New Braunfels. He was shot and killed in the Applebee’s parking lot on October 1. A 20-year-old woman was also injured.

Gonzales is the fourth person arrested.

Last month, Richard Rosas, 20, of Converse, Jacob Roswer, 20, of Converse, and Justin Sherard, 20, were also arrested and also face a murder charge.

We’re told the case remains an ongoing investigation. Detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department are working to finish the case. Once finalized, the case will be sent to the Comal County District Attorney’s office.
