CLAY COUNTY, MN (Valley News Live) – On Saturday, November 9, around 8 am, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a man hit by gunfire while hunting.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred near the area of ​​the 4600 block of 90th Avenue N in rural Moorhead.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 34-year-old Dilworth man had been shot in the head.

Clay County deputies and a responding Minnesota State Trooper immediately began providing first aid to the man.

The Sanford Ambulance arrived and took over the rescue efforts. Sanford Airmed was requested and assisted Sanford Ambulance and law enforcement personnel with life-saving efforts.

Airmed took the 34-year-old man to Sanford Hospital.

The incident is still under investigation.
