q: “What motivated you to enter public service?”

TO: “I am motivated by this city and the people, (as well as) my family, my children and many more reasons,” Street responded. “This city has a lot of potential (and) we are losing it.”

q: “How would you describe yourself as an individual and as a candidate?”

TO: “I am a loyal person with ethics and morals who works hard and takes responsibility,” Street said. “I’m very passionate, but those who know me (know that) I wear my heart on my sleeve and when I commit to something, I’m all in!

“I am also very optimistic and always looking to find solutions. My mind needs to be stimulated and I like to be informed, so I dedicate my time to acquiring knowledge because I believe that knowledge is power and this is what has prepared me for life, which is something I can offer to the city if I am elected ”.

q: “How do you stay connected to the community?”

TO: “I stay connected through recreation, family, my children, my business, and by sponsoring and supporting many organizations throughout the community. We always support the locals. “We live and pay taxes in this community and we want to remain in this community for generations to come.”

q: “How would you describe your vision of the city?”

TO: “I would describe my vision as providing solutions, working together, building relationships and growing the economy for better jobs, housing and businesses,” he responded. “I would like to see Moose Jaw catch up with other cities on the maintenance side to show that we have stability and that by building it we can generate new revenue and reduce the tax base for our existing residents.

“Why do we keep turning away business? We look like the city that has its nose in the air. Moose Jaw is better than this and I want to build a reputation that we are welcoming and want to build relationships. That’s good business practice and being a good being human; this is where we can be leaders and show (future) generations how it works.

q: “How will you ensure accountability and transparency in your role?”

TO: “I have morals, integrity and values,” he said. “I think this reassures citizens that they are voting for a candidate who has the true values ​​of what a city councilor should be. “I will hold myself and those (around me) accountable and be transparent.”

q: “What are your main guiding values?”

TO: Street said its core guiding values ​​include loyalty, responsibility, integrity, transparency and building relationships through cooperation. He values ​​hard work, commitment, the pursuit of knowledge and follows a strong sense of ethics in his decision-making process.

q: “What would you say are the top three issues or concerns you would like to address?”

TO: Street said his top three concerns include better supporting local businesses, reviewing property assessments and better managing the city’s budget.

“We need to be open for business and build new relationships, as well as maintain the relationships we already have.

“We need to look at property assessments along with the processes and procedures of how they are done for the betterment of our citizens.

“We need to learn how to budget and manage the budget properly and spend and cut (as necessary) to (improve) this city, (to) get revenue.

“Citizens need to have understanding. They need to see where their property taxes are spent; When they see this, they (develop) confidence. We need to make the city more accessible to citizens; This is called transparency.”

q: “In your own words, why should people vote for you?”

TO: “I don’t like to waste time or money, and I like to get to work to get things done. I mean bettering this city and I mean all the citizens of this city. “I will work for this city,” he responded.

“Now, I’m not saying that I will necessarily always do things the right way, but I will accept it and always do my best to work to make the right decisions for the citizens of this city to make.”

Street concluded with a message for residents to consider before the next election.

“We can all have ideas, but we must also know that citizens trust us as candidates to make positive changes and make them proud,” he said. “To make it simple, we need to show citizens that their money is being spent well and that they are seeing change.”
