BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (WBRC) – Vice and narcotics detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man following a narcotics and weapons seizure operation.

On Nov. 5, detectives received a complaint in the Center Point area related to narcotic activity. While investigating the area of ​​Huffman Road and Center Point Parkway, police stopped a black Honda Accord for traffic violations.

Police arrested Trayveon McBride, 26, and recovered a glock along with oxycodone, hydrocodone and marijuana.

McBride has been charged with illegal possession of marijuana, drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police have set his total bail at $28,000.
