Brentford 3-2 Bournemouth: Yoanne Wissa on the Premier League victory

Brentford striker Yoanne Wissa spoke to BBC Match of the Day after Saturday’s win against Bournemouth: “It’s nice. We are in an entertainment business, so we like to entertain every game. Of course, we would like to do it in a better way, finish 3-0 and then finish. But this is the Premier League, this is why we I love it. I’m very happy with today’s victory.”

About its objectives: “The first one was a throw-in, and we know that on set pieces we have to try to score every time. There was a header, then a second header. I was at the far post and I just sent it back to where the goalkeeper was. where the ball came from.

“The second one was a perfect game on our part. Vitaly (Janelt) gave me a delicious ball and I just tried to do my best. You have to have composure and confidence, and today I’m happy to help the team win.”

On his team’s comeback: “We knew we had a bad performance against Fulham and today we had a recovery mentality. You could see after the first 20 minutes that there was a lack of confidence. The goal helped us raise our level and the last 20 minutes (of the first half) was much better.

“Five minutes after the break we conceded again and a minute later we scored. That’s our mentality, to keep going and do the best we can to make the fans proud.”
