RIVERVIEW ESTATES, Missouri (KCTV) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash in the Riverview Estates area of ​​Cass County Friday night.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 pm on Route Y, south of Belton and northwest of Peculiar.

MSHP said a 40-year-old man from Peculiar was riding a 2023 Suzuki motorcycle north on Route Y when he went off the side of the road and struck a rock cliff and guardrail.

The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was taken to a Kansas City hospital for treatment.
