Soros, the Hungarian-born leftist billionaire, runs a shadowy money network of nonprofit organizations that fund various candidates around the world who align with his progressive agenda, including his Open Society Foundations. Soros has donated more than $32 billion to the Open Society Foundations since 1984, according to his website.

The most notable loss this week occurred in the city of Los Angeles, where District Attorney George Gascónbacked by Soros, he was defeated 24% by his tough-on-crime opponent, Nathan Hochman, a former federal prosecutor, with crime being a major issue of the election cycle.

Instead, Harris swept Los Angeles County by 30 points.

Elsewhere in the liberal stronghold state, tough San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins handily defeated DA Ryan Khojasteh, who was the hand-picked candidate for former District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who was recalled in 2022.

Jenkins said in January that the city has been experiencing a “hard right turn” in recent years. Gascón echoed those sentiments after his loss this week.

In another loss for Soros-backed prosecutors in the Golden State, District Attorney Pamela Price was remembered in Alameda County, home to Oakland and Berkeley, less than two years after taking office following backlash over his supposedly soft-on-crime attitude. Vice President Harris won the county 75% to 25%.

Kennedy says voter backlash against soft-crime policies was especially acute in battleground states.

In Georgia, Athens-Clarke and Oconee County District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez was defeated by 20%. She represented the same county where nursing student Laken Riley was allegedly murdered by an illegal migrant, who had been arrested and then released prior to the brutal crime.

Gonzalez ran 16% behind Harris, who won those counties with 56.5% to Trump’s 43.5%.

Meanwhile, traditional prosecutors in Maricopa County, Arizona, and Macomb County, Michigan, surpassed Trump’s margin of victory and defeated Soros-backed rivals, according to Kennedy.

“In the most important district attorney races, traditionally minded prosecutors got a higher share of the vote than Donald Trump or Kamala Harris because one in eight Harris voters backed the tough-on-crime candidate. Turns out, public safety isn’t “It’s a partisan party. It’s a matter of common sense.”

However, there were victories for Soros-linked candidates, with progressive Savannah prosecutor Shalena Cook Jones retaining her seat with 7%.

In Florida, Soros-backed Monique Worrell regained her position as Orange-Osceola state attorney, beating Andrew Bain by just over 5%. She was overthrown last year by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for “dereliction of duty” regarding crime.
