Two women seriously injured after vehicle crashes into tree in Butler County

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) – Two women are seriously injured after their vehicle crashed into a tree in Butler County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Report, the accident took place at 7 pm on Friday, November 7. The vehicle was heading south on County Road 523, four miles north of Poplar Bluff.

The accident occurred when a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze left the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, a 19-year-old Poplar Bluff woman, was transported by Survival Flight to St. Bernards in Jonesboro, Arkansas, for treatment of serious injuries.

The passenger, a 20-year-old Doniphan woman, was transported by Air EVAC to St. Louis University for treatment of serious injuries.

According to the Highway Patrol, both occupants were wearing a restraint device at the time of the accident.
