MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – The Alabama Department of Transportation is in the final stages of planning its bicycle and pedestrian plan.

The plan helps establish a vision for bicycling and walking as modes of transportation in Alabama. Help guide investment in bicycle and pedestrian facilities that maximize the limited funds available.

During a meeting, ALDOT officials had the opportunity to tell people how they plan to build transit infrastructure, while receiving feedback from neighbors.

ALDOT will accept public comments on the project until December 31. To provide feedback, visit ALDOT website and find the public participation comment form.
