According to Lt. Jason Randall of the Stanton Fire Department, the firefighter who was injured will have some bruising, but was released and is now resting at home.

Officials tell LEX 18 that a firefighter was injured while battling a structure fire on Caudill Road in Powell County on Friday.

According to officials, several firefighters responded to the scene and a house quickly became engulfed in flames. However, no one was home at the time, authorities added.

Officials detailed that it took almost an hour to control the fire and in the process an “O2 device” exploded in the house near the firefighter who was injured.
